Recency bias is over, still a masterpiece.

You never truly "complete" Minecraft. The sheer amount of mods and modpacks create an entirely different game and experience every single time. The music is not just some of the greatest in video game history, but some of the greatest in history, period. There is no game other than Minecraft that brings me to tears when I hear its soundtrack in any context. Minecraft is the only experience that I have never abandoned. And although my worlds are nearly all gone, so is the person who built them. Minecraft, for so many, is a reminder that you can never go back to who you were, you can only remember them.

The best zelda game ever made, arguably the best open world game ever made. The amount of freedom you have in this game is second to none, and considering the game was intended to be played on the switch/wii u, the visuals and art direction are perfect.

Immersive, interesting characters, and breaks rules in all the right ways. The soundtrack is what stands out. Toby is a composer first, developer second.

Must replay, loved it at the time but does it hold up to modern day standards?

Beautiful way to end Nathan's story

VERY strong gameplay for a 1st person shooter, arguably the best to ever do it. Insanely fun progression too.

First final fantasy game so the bias runs hard. Combat is fun, music is beautiful, story is strong. Made me cry.

Good, not great. Good enough to finish it

doesn't get worse than this

The most beautiful art direction in any game, hands down. Best soulslike of all time. .1 Points taken off because the combat isn't perfect, janky at times and not as good as sekiro.

Not as good as ori, but easily top 3 platformers of all time. A TON of content, and artistically perfect.

The best 2D platformer of all time. Does everything the first game does, just better.

The most beautiful 2d platformer of all time paired with a soundtrack that contextualizes every moment perfectly. Would be a masterpiece if it weren't for the gameplay.

Probably a product of its time. Defined the genre, was fun as a kid, not sure if it still is.

This game does everything the 1st one does, but better. The idea that this game is bad is cope because people don't like that Joel was killed, even though the game offers a perfect explanation as to why it happened. The gameplay is a huge step up from the 1st game as well, way more engaging. The game is beautiful and the world's post apocalyptic setting is executed perfectly.

Beautiful story, memorable characters, amazing world building

Dropped this like 10 times. Beautiful soundtrack though, like always. Mid game tho

Probably the best GOW game so far. Kratos' character development in this game is second to none (except for Arthur Morgan, of course). Watching Kratos transform from a symbol of unchecked fury into a man seeking redemption is deeply emotional. His journey confronts his past rather than ignoring it, making his restraint feel earned.

Amazing but not as good as the OG. Still nearly a masterpiece. Combat is fun, story is amazing, soundtrack fits the game well. Exploration could be better for a supposedly open world game.

Best puzzle game of all time, but not JUST a puzzle game. A puzzle game put into context with a well thought out and fun story.

Must play again. Soundtrack fits the game so incredibly well, amazin story

Buggy mess, beautiful game though

Story only picks up toward the end, but it picks up HARD. Fun for a 1st person shooter which is hard to do. Soundtrack is forgettable.

Insane soundtrack, very fun gameplay. Game is too short, but expected for a boss rush.

It does what it sets out to do, perfectly. Final levels were way too long, but it's the perfect speedrunning game

Greatest boxing game OAT, incredibly satisfying, story is great for a boxing game although too short. Music is hype and the final boss is one of the greatest in gaming history. The lead up to this boss and the feeling once you land the finishing blow is next to none.

Fun, clearly a product of its time.

Greatest combat system in any souls like game, hands down. Difficulty is perfect, gameplay is always fun, didn't pay much attention to the story, though. The visuals and art direction are nearly perfect.

Story is the only thing that the game can be fairly rated on. The gameplay can be boring at times. Didn't like this as much as others.

Philosophical game with a very well thought out choice system. Dozens of meaningfully different endings, deep characters and lots of morally ambiguous choices. Must play again.

Extremely unique gimmick, made me cry like a baby. Beautiful story and experience, would not recommend.

Greatest story in video game history. The characters are complex and unforgettable, every mission and conversation adds to the immersion. The gameplay, while every mission is some form of "go here and shoot a bunch of bad guys" is significantly deeper than that. The free roaming is second to none. You can interact with nearly everything in this world, and every mechanic is deep enough to be a game on its own. Hunting (matching the weapon ammo to the animal's size to not damage the pelt, physically accurate migration patterns, searching for tracks etc..), survival and weight management, fishing, community and camp management, crafting, gambling, and exploration are too deep to begin to explain. The gameplay is not felt if you rush through the main story, and neither is the story itself. Arthur morgan, arguably the greatest character in fiction - Arthur's writing is a masterpiece. He spends most of his life believing in redemption as something you earn. By the time he learns that redemption is found in the choices you make, it's too late for him. He learns that loyalty isn't blind, it means protecting what's good, even if it means walking away from who you are. When he dies, the man he wished he'd be caught up to the man he became, but it was too late. Arthur's development is masterfully written, and his character is deeply tragic. Arthur's story stays with you because it isn't really about outlaws or the Wild West. It's about the fear that we might realize what truly matters only when we're running out of time.

Soundtrack is not memorable, story either. The game is beautiful, but what shines is the movement and the fact that at every second, something new is being presented. The game always feels fresh and is arguably the greatest 3D platformer OF ALL TIME

Platforming gameplay and depth in this game should be the standard for all 2d platformers. Music is decent, virtually no story, just insanely fun.

One of the hardest soundtracks in gaming, gameplay is basically just combat, which is kinda fun but super repetitive. It's clearly a product of its time.

Beautiful soundtrack, story kinda mid and disjointed - nothing special. Combat is super fun but nearly every boss and encounter has no weight because the story offers it no stakes except for the last 2 boss fights, where the game really shines.

Very short game, does what it sets out to do. Fun experience.
